The Office of Instructional Support Services (ISS) serves as the primary support center for the use of techology in teaching and research.
ISS offers technology support for faculty using the Undergraduate Learning Center and course design and development support for faculty wishing to teach in technology-enabled flexible learning formats. Services provided by ISS include workshops designed to help faculty incorporate technology into their teaching, be it technology-enhanced courses, blended learning or fully online courses, video conferencing services via LINKS (our newest state-of-the-art facility), program development, virtual world development, technology-enhanced collaboration in ELEMENTS, and help in proposal writing.
ISS staff have been actively involved in proposal writing and have been successful recipients of numerous grants, including those received from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the UT System and the National Science Foundation.
